As a lifelong dancer with a professional career spanning three decades in NYC, Janet Bushor knows the body. "I found working at a gym unfulfilling and clients did not seem to enjoy the experience as much as the private sessions I currently do," says Ms. Bushor. "So I began developing my own full-body workouts." Janet will teach you how to use your body as its own work-out machine. A typical personalized workout may include elements of Pilates, Yoga, Ballet Fundamentals, and weight-training. In addition to static/kinetic, and isometric principles, you will use light weight/high repetition to trim, tone, and strengthen your body. But, most importantly, Janet's proven workout techniques are safe! Under her watchful eye and focused attention to your needs and goals, you will train in the secure knowledge that you will not injure yourself. You will build confidence while watching steady growth in strength, endurance, and flexibility.
Ms. Bushor's goal is to give you a workout tailored to your lifestyle and time constraints so that soon, you will have the tools necessary to train on your own as well as with her. You can also choose to workout with her occasionally and as you reach peaks and plateaus, you can check in with her for additional exercises to keep you reaching for levels you never imagined attainable.
Janet is fun, patient, and supportive. No matter what your age, size, or present condition, you will never be made to feel embarrassed or threatened - only challenged with positive input and personal initiative. Janet's career in dance and personal training has taught her to not only work with injuries and habitual ailments, but also in most cases allows her to reverse the processes and habits that contribute to continued degeneration.
Ms. Bushor will train you in her home workout studio conveniently located on West 106th St., near CPW. Arrangements may be made for her to come to you, as well. Contact her to discuss scheduling, any questions or additional information. The only person standing between a happier, healthier you, is you.
